Spring Fashion Week

Last night I went with my best friend to spring fashion week. It was a great night, the lighting, visuals and music were fabulous and we both really enjoyed it. I particularly liked 'Jolet'. Our seats were very good but I used my phone to take the photos, so the quality is not the best.

New Cut

 I incorporated my before and after hair shots within this outfit post, not as smoothly as I was hoping, but it's something! I slept with my hair in braids overnight, so my hair looks a bit crimpy in the after shot. Anyway, I got send this top and necklace from banggood.com and I really love them both! Especially the top ^-^ I highly recommend these items!

I am still going to post a before and after, but I put a couple of really cool before shots that I though were basically good enough for their own post! I had a hectic weekend, so I couldn't post an outfit. Here are the snaps though, hope you like them as much as I do!

Hair

I have been growing my hair since 2008 when I began with a horrible boyish cut that did not suit me at all. Since then my hair has grown to as long as my hips. I have had a great time bleaching and dying my ends, trimming and cutting here and there, but the time has come for me to change. As much as I love having long hair, I have gotten kind of sick of it. I would like to be able to wear it out and not have to worry about so many tangles and it getting caught up in my bag etc. I am going to cut my own hair (as I have been ever since that boy cut) to a just-below shoulder length.I have collected an array of pictures off tumblr that I like and I will try my best to aim and achieve something similar to the pictures! I will post a before and after shot when I actually cut it all off. Wish me luck!

Stripes

My newest item in my wardrobe is this striped jumper that I bough (new!) from Supre for $15 which I thought was pretty reasonable! I tend to never wear skinny jeans but these are probably my favourite pair. The detail shots are not the best because the light was fading.

Music

I've decided that the 'music' in my blog title has lost it's meaning a bit. I don't post about music anymore and I don't know why! I'm not sure if any of you will appreciate my music posts or not, it really depends on whether you like my music taste. I find a lot of videos on YouTube that I listen to religiously and I will try and make regular posts containing a few of these videos. Hope you listen to and enjoy them like I do!

Absense

Hi all! I haven't been able to do my weekly posting because I've been extremely busy! My birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I got lot's of fabulous presents! Some of them I already knew about, but others were a nice surprise :)
My favourite gift was my absolutely GORGEOUS pair of Deandri shoes! I ordered the Tequila platforms from Nasty Gal about two weeks prior to my actual birthday, and they arrived a few days early which was very good timing! I haven't worn them out of the house yet, but I'm planning on wearing them to fashion week which is coming up! They are 6.5 inches high, but because of the 3 inch platform, they do not feel as high as they are and I find them pretty darn easy to walk in! I also ordered a pair of white velcro sandals off eBay which I am very happy with too. I have seen variations of them all over tumblr, and my $40-ish ones were quite cheap in comparison to some which can be over $100!

Foliage

 It's been extremely cold this Winter, and on this freezing Sunday, I went with some of my family to see the constantly raved about movie: 'The Great Gatsby'.

While I really enjoyed the whole experience (also in 3D), my Mum hated it! So from this bit of data, I would definitely say that this movie highly depends on your taste and is a very individual thing!

Anyway, I decided to wear my recently purchased over-sized jumper that I found from a 2nd hand store :) Not only is it now my favorite jumper, it is also a lovely wool/cashmere blend which makes it perfect for Winter! I had a lovely weekend, did you too?
